Educated guess on the mysterytrader's position on Binance
This is all on‑chain. You can see this wallet’s Hyperliquid positions on HypurrScan. He has made about $100M overall. I traced his USDC funding and two key “Deposit Binance” moments to make an educated guess about whether he staged fresh shorts on Oct 14. He also moved a significant chunk of BTC to 51 wallets today and sent another ~$40M to Binance yesterday, but I’m focusing on the first two deposits here for clarity.
I use five simple panels: BTCUSDT mark price; net taker notional (aggressive buys − sells); a minute‑by‑minute buy‑vs‑sell bar grid; open‑interest deltas (contracts and notional) to read position building or covering; and long/short ratios for global accounts and top traders. Red dashed lines mark the two Binance deposits. Use the sliders under the bar grid to zoom any slice. A quick read: taker sell up with contracts rising suggests opening shorts; taker buy up with contracts flat/down suggests covering. Ratios add context—not a standalone signal.
What to notice
- Around the time he closed shorts on Hyperliquid (and in the few minutes after), open interest in contracts dipped while taker volume spiked. I read that as short covering by him and likely others.
- Another read: he covered shorts on Binance (taker buy rising) and, with fresh funds, flipped or added longs. After the ~40M inflow, the buyer side jumps hard and open interest climbs as well.
